Katherine is a loving daughter, knowledgeable sister (I am thankful for the education she gave me), dedicated worker, considerate friend, veggie enthusiast, and attentive care-giver (of humans and animals). Katie, along with most friendly humans, is affectionate towards pets. She will play, massage, and run with all her friends’ furry housemates. But, unlike many humans, she also understands the mindset of these companions. When entering a home and introducing herself to the shaggy hostess (a.k.a. the dog) she squats down and places her hand in front of his nose. She calmly waits for her approval before entering his domain. I spent years under the same roof as Katie, along with our two dogs: Jake and Julie (unrelated). Every day, Katie gave her time to care for these family members. This time consisted of either playing fetch or tug-off-war (depended on Jake’s mood), a long-walk with a small run, or teaching a new “trick.” Katie loved our pets and showed them this love every day. Her chill demeanor, caring-heart, and energetic spirit make Katie the perfect day pal for any and all pets.
