Hi, my name is Katie Elizabeth and I recently moved to Florida from North Carolina. I work full time as a veterinary assistant and am studying to be a registered vet tech. I have previously volunteered with the Humane Society. I always schedule a meet-and-greet prior to any pet sitting to ensure that I can meet all of your pets' needs and allow your family an extra layer of comfort knowing who will be caring for your pets. I may be available for meet-and-greets outside of my calendar availability, but my calendar availability reflects my work schedule.

My dog Raine was picked up as a stray and is scared of most people. Katie is one of the few people that brings her out of her shell and gets her to play like a normal dog.
Katie has been around dogs most of her life. And she is truly a pet lover! We have always been very comfortable having Katie to watch over and care for our dogs, whether we are working daily or away on trips. Katie has had her own dog to care for as well and knows the responsibility needed to be a dog owner and uses the same discretion when it comes to caring for anyone else's pet. As much as she love dogs, the dogs love her more!

Right now, I am not caring for pets in my home. I primarily am taking walking and drop-in jobs, but I will also house sit for several days at a time as long as our schedules align well for your fur babies.

I always appreciate knowing if the dog is on any medication, has any chronic condition, and how they are behaviorally. For example, if they are dog aggressive, I change where I walk them to avoid other dogs. If they are fearful of children, I avoid parks. My job is to ensure the comfort and safety of every pet in my care.
A typical day
I am still learning the area, but previously have taken dogs on small hiking trails, walking trails, and dog parks with their owners' permission. I do not take any pets anywhere prior to discussing it and ensuring that the pets will be safe.

I do have a pretty busy schedule on the days that I work, but typically am available to walk dogs or do drop-in visits before or afterwards. I am almost always completely free on the days I do not work for house sitting.
