Hello, My name is Katie; I'm 38 and have been around dogs and cats all my life. My first sentence was "Hi Pepper" which was to a dog, so if that tells you anything about me, its how much I love dogs!! I have an 12 year old lab/pit mix named Vegas, she is the sweetest girl considering she had a rough upbringing. She was rescued when she was almost 1, we actually aren't sure of her age but figure 12 is a good guess. I am definitely that “crazy person” who will say hi to your dog before I notice the human/owner walking them :) I call every dog I see a baby regardless of their age and I pride myself on being able to work with difficult dogs. I would absolutely love to meet your very special child and help/care for him/her and spoil them of course :) My life has had some major changes recently as I became a mom to a human boy named Brandon. Therefore I will be a bit more selective on the jobs I take and can handle. Weekday jobs must be kid friendly dogs only. Weekends it doesn’t matter. This is definitely a passion of mine so I will do my best to make things work. Always reach out regardless of my calendar, also because mom life so I might forget to update it. :) I work from home so depending on distance and how busy my work days are I am flexible. I will never say yes if I can’t be available often enough to let your dog out. I’m aware some dogs can hold it for 8+ hours in a day I just prefer not to do that :) PAST EXPERIENCE Worked at a Boarding/Daycare & Grooming Resort for 3+ years. While working there I steadily babysat clients dogs at their own homes on multiple occassions. Why I love dog sitting I grew up with a wonderful, Border Collie mix named Callie, she lived to be 15. Then some years later a roomate of mine bought a very handsome young pup named Floyd and I took him to work with me for 3+ years while I worked at a Kennel. After I moved out I still would "borrow" Floyd for days and weekend trips, sadly he is no longer with us but I got to say goodbye which meant a lot to me. My experience administering medication If the owner is comfortable with it, I have no problems at all.
