Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Katie and I am a Music Therapy Major at Drury University! I have experience watching up to four pets at once as well as being responsible for walking my neighbors rambunctious puppy. I volunteered with TARA for 5 years taking care of and cleaning out the cats cages at the ward parkway center petsmart. I have also been responsible for a couple of dogs who were taking one medication to multiple medications at different times of days. I have always been a pet person and have two playful dogs myself. One other experience I have is watching and taking care of a dog who recently had a leg amputation, I was responsible for putting on his prosthetic as well as lifting up the lab to help him up the stairs. I will always love on and take care of your fur babies!

Our puppy Carly had a great time walking with Katie! Katie was on time and spent 30 minutes with her. I enjoyed getting a photo and a map of their route.

I always want to make sure your fur babies are comfortable. If they are skittish and need time to adjust to me, I will do just that! I will never push your pet to do what he or she does not want to do!

The most important thing a for me to know about your fur baby before I watch them is definitely their name, I like to know if they are skittish before hand but it’s not a deal breaker if I don’t know, and I definitely like to know their potty/feeding schedule as well as if they are taking any meds!
A typical day
I love to make sure that when I leave your pet is worn out and had their energy gone. Whether that be smelling all of the smells on a walk or playing fetch outside for hours. I love to take dogs to parks or similar areas that allow for plenty of sniffs and stimulation!

Pet care is currently the only job I am taking on. It is my primary focus and will not be pushed to the back of tasks that I have to do!
