We all deserve a comfy place to rest our heads when we travel or, in the case of pups, when our owners travel, and I’d like to be a part of providing that for as many pups as I can. I have 20+ years of experience working with pups, either as an owner or caregiver. I have cared for a variety of dogs, ranging from tiny Chihuahuas and huge Great Danes to fragile seniors and spunky puppies. I’m willing to work with any breed as long as the owner feels the dog is well socialized so that they can spend time with my pups. As for my own four-legged family, I currently have two pups. Tucker, 3.5yo, is an Australian shepherd/Cattle dog mix; I rescued him when he was three months old. Tucker prefers female dogs but in the end he gets along with with everyone. River, 1.5yo, is a Catahoula Leopard. She loves all dogs and likes having new playmates around. She is very fast and is always ready for a game of chase in the yard. She’s also a great at cuddling, sharing her space, and is a gracious host. In addition to caring for dogs, I am also a certified dog trainer. I run private sessions and group classes working on basic obedience and behavior modification. I like working with people and I think this comes from working in a school (I’m a speech-language pathologist). I’m easy to communicate with and I provide great customer service by giving owners notes and pics about how their pups are doing while they’re away. I love taking my pups on hikes all across the state. Overall, I am happiest when I am surrounded by nature and with my dogs. My neighborhood is called McGills Common. It is in the village of Kings Contrivance. There are miles and miles of walking paths that we explore daily. We often walk to the lake and enjoy nice days outside. My home is 2 floors and a less used basement; my dogs spend most of their time on the main level but have access to the entire house. I have a screened-in porch that the dogs love to relax on and watch the squirrels in the yard. I do have a fenced in yard, The fence is 4.5feet tall.
