Pet care experience
Dog bring me the greatest joy in life! There is no love like a dogs. They are family. My family has always had medium to large sized dogs that we raised from puppies including 3 Labrador retrievers and a german short hair pointer. I now have a dog of my own - a female Belgian Malinois that I trained myself starting at 8 weeks. I have extensive personal experience with puppies and adult dogs (including labradors and a german shorthair pointer). I have experience being a dog sitter/walker, house sitter/cleaner for our family dogs Veterinarian while I was in high school. I have trained our family dogs on basic commands. I understand the value of physical and mental activity for a healthy, behaved and happy dog. I’m familiar with reading dogs and their personal language. I myself am active and enjoying running and playing with the pups I have the pleasure of taking care of - when applicable. Ive had a reoccurring drop-ins for a mini Australian Shepard + a Chihuahua, a 1 year old Great Dane, a Husky/german Shepard mix. I’ve taken care of three dogs at once. Small or large, old or young, I love them all and the excitement on their faces when I arrive. I look forward to helping you out and loving your pet like my own!
Reviews
Katie was wonderful. We did a meet and greet, and I felt very comfortable. She took wonderful care of our boy, Jasper. Thank you, so much! We will definitely check to see if she is available the next time we need someone to love on our boy.
Katie is professional, dependable and flexible. She is a genuine animal lover and is wonderful with my pup, Sydney-- she has been such a great help over this past year!

I have a fenced in yard and a female Belgian malinois with plenty of energy to play endlessly! We have a small collapsible dog pool for swimming to cool down the pups on hot days. Lots of toys and balls. Pets are allowed on furniture. They have constant access to clean water. I only take on dog at a time for boarding or daycare. I use treats for positive reinforcement. A crate is available if needed otherwise my dog is free to roam the sunroom, kitchen, dining room and living room and so can yours if they don’t tend to destroy items.
Information Katie L. would like to know about your pet
What is there temperament: Are they shy or skittish? Do they need distancing from strangers/other pets? Leash/environment: Do they chase vehicles? How are they on a leash? Do they try to run away/escape? Children: How are they with kids? What is their favorite activity? Any areas that don’t like to be touched? Paws, face, tail etc.? What commands do they know and what words do you use? “Sit, stay/wait, come/heal, drop it/leave it” Any habits: chewing, barking, jumping etc. DAYCARE AND BOARDING - a meet and greet is needed to be sure your dog and my dog get along great before I can commit.
A typical day
We will walk around and near Thagards lake. The beautiful park next to our home has a field, trails, wooded areas, and even a swimming area and dock if you are okay with them swimming. Fetch, basic commands, go-find (hide ball or treat), waking and running if they want to. There’s a lot of wooded areas near our home and another large field we can play at. This is in addition to our fenced in yard. If it’s rainy we will play in our home gym area.

Availability
I am available for short term services. I would be available to help out if you go out of town or need help for a few days! My schedule varies so I am unable to commit to long term services at this time but I usually I work from home. Our yard is fenced and we have a doggy-door for easy outside access while I am home.
