Pet care experience
My name is Katie and I am a wife and mother to a wonderful 6 year old little boy! We relocated from North Dakota to the Tacoma/Puyallup area early 2020 and are loving it! I have 2 cats, Freyja & Gaia, who were my first babies, and they are spoiled beyond words. We now also have 2 dogs! Edgar, our horse of a golden retriever 😂 and Maggie, our rescue Border Collie. Both my dogs are extremely friendly and love playing and making new friends at the dog park! My cats like to relax in their own quite spaces. I have a strong passion and love for animals. I have volunteered at animal shelters before and loved every second. I love exploring our community and meeting all the pets and pet owners in the area! I promise to treat your best friend as if they were my own. I can’t wait to become your best friend’s new friend!

Katie was an exceptional pet sitter! Our dogs immediately gravitated to her during our meet and greet! Coming from our first dog, he’s a little timid bit in no time he opened up to her. The little one is very social so he was able to get use to her right away. Katie was communicative during the time away. She provided pictures as well. The boys seemed to have an amazing time with her! I will highly asked Katie to sit again if we end up going out for the weekend!
I’m truly lucky to have met Katie! She was punctual, communicative, and took care of my fur baby like one of her own. I will certainly be booking her in the future.
My dog escaped and wasn’t able to get back into my house. Katie came on a minutes noticed and brought my girl back to safety while I was at work. Thank you Katie!

I make sure to ask you plenty of questions before accepting any job to make sure that I understand your best friend, and I know if there are any situations I need to keep them away from. If your pet were to ever come to my home, I have a large fully fenced back yard they can run and play in. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs myself that love to play!!

I will need to know if your pet is used to or ok with small children. My son (6) is also a big animal lover and on rare occasions does accompany me to visits. I need to know any triggers or reactive behaviors your animal has, so I know what to avoid and keep them and everyone else safe ?
A typical day
I can’t wait to explore local parks, neighborhoods and dog parks with your best friend! They can also look forward to playing with toys and lots of snuggles and pets!

Availability
I do currently work full time 8:30-5pm Monday-Friday as an office manager. Because of this I can typically do drop in visits after 5PM Monday -Friday & house sit over the weekends. Once I have worked with families for a while I do make exceptions for house sitting during the week, just know I wouldn’t be in the home during my full time office hours.
