I'm a grad student with a wonderful, 4yo dog. He loves other dogs more than anything, and so do I. After bad experiences with boarding facilities, I became a firm believer in the swapping of favors with other dog-owning friends. Being away from home and family can be very stressful for dogs, and I think it helps a lot to have another dog around to play and distract them. My dog is at the center of my schedule and my life.
