Hi! My name is Katie. I graduated from the Veterinary Medical Technology program at Gaston College and I am a board and state certified Registered Veterinary Technician. I work full time at an animal hospital and have been petsitting as a side job for the past 6 years. I strive for only the best when it comes to pet health, and that includes their happiness when you are gone. I accept all types of dogs and cats - all life stages and sizes.

We hired Katie to come dog sit for the day and she did a great job. He had some anxiety issues when we left and Katie was patient with him and stayed in touch with me throughout the day with text messages & photos. We will definitely use her again!

As a veterinary technician, honesty and trust is important to me. If I notice a “change” in a pets activity/mentation that is concerning, I will notify the owner immediately, and if need be take them to the veterinarian. At the end of the stay - I try to leave the clients house the way it was left, if not better. I am more than happy to get mail, water flowers/plants, take trash out, etc. I treat all pets as if they were my own.

Please let me know if any: medications, food/medication allergies, typical daily schedule, diseases/conditions, aggression or “quirks” (ex. Doesn’t like belly rubbed, don’t touch ears, etc), feeding schedules, crate trained, what is the longest/shortest time left alone, etc.
A typical day
As stated above, I cannot be with the pet 24/7. I do have a main full time job, that consumes most of my day. However I am more than willing to walk/play, etc. anything the owner requests while they are away.

Availability
Having a full time job, with a career that may have me staying later than scheduled, my availability is difficult to anticipate, and I am not always getting a lunch break. PLEASE do not book me unless your pet can be left alone for 8-12 hours at a time.
