Hi, my name is Katie, and I am a veterinary assistant in feline medicine! Cats are chronically misunderstood, even among animal lovers, and it can make it difficult to find reliable care (especially for our more “spicy” feline friends). My training in feline medicine has given me the tools and knowledge to ensure that your kitty feels comfortable, loved, and at ease while you’re away. I am comfortable with medicating (including injections), administering fluids, and keeping an eye on our more medically-fragile pals. I also know basic first aid, and have training in cat-friendly handling.

5 stars for Katie. One star for Tigger and 3 for Shorti. Katie did a great job with a very difficult situation. Very happy to report that everyone survived and even my old, senile gal seems no worse for the wear. If i can ever think of leaving them again, i will be booking Katie (if she will "have us"). She was fabulous!
Katie is a total animal lover and she took great care of my needy pets! She was flexible when we needed to make changes to accommodate them and they seemed very content when we got home, not stressed out in the least.

I always try and take your kitty’s routine into consideration when planning how to care for them while you’re away. After all, cats are the world’s biggest control freaks! If you have a friendly kitty that wants to chat, get some scratches, or play, I will make sure that I fill their little social-cups up each day! If your cat is more on the timid side, I will do what I can to keep them feeling secure while caring for them, without pushing them to be more social than they want to be.

Availability
I work full time at the vet clinic, which means I am gone for most of the day Tuesday-Thursday. I do not work Mondays or weekends, so those days are more flexible for me!
