Pet care experience
I work a full time usually 9 to 5 job and in my free time I foster dogs/puppies for a local rescue. I work full time and foster pups for my local shelter in my spare time. As a rescuer I have delt with new born puppies, adults, and even seniors. I specialize in the shy, scared puppies and dogs. In my time in rescue I have fostered over 30 dogs. In addition to rescue experience I have two of my own dogs. I have vader a shy, scared of his own shadow but obsessed with tennis balls, terrier and then I have the senior, one eyed social butterfly chi/pug mix, Porgy. If you attend shelter events in modesto or parades in modesto, you have probably met Porgy the one eyed wonder pup. I have experience giving medication to senior animals as well as experience dealing with those that have separation anxiety. I treat every animal including fosters as my own and as such I will make sure your furry family member is well taken care of while in my care. Working in rescue I have delt with walking dogs that are great on leash to those that constantly pull. So far none of my giant pullers have swept me off my feet yet. I love taking videos and photos of each animal in my care so you will be updated on how they are doing while in my care. When your furry family member is with me, you know they will be in good hands. Take a break and enjoy your vacation while your furry friend gets pampered. I am ready to be your furry friend's new best pal!

Katie is an extremely sweet person. She loves all animals and has always been very good with both of my dogs. Her own dog, Vader, is super friendly and well mannered. She would make an excellent dog sitter.

My pets and I stick to a strick schedule. They have a cup of food in the morning then we go on a walk. They get an additional walk in the afternoon when my partner comes home from lunch and then a cup of food in the evening followed by another walk. This is what works for our home, but your home is different. When doing home sitting or check ins, I will ask you what is your pet's typical routine and I will stick to it within the best of my ability.

It is helpful to know any behavioral issues that I should be aware of and anything they really hate/fear. I would also like to know if your animal is up to date on their vaccines and flee/tick meds. Please let me know if they have any medical issues I should watch out for and any medications they take. Also if they tend to run or bolt out doors when they are being open and if they like to hide inside.
A typical day
I am able to take your pup on walks around your neighborhood or mine. I am also willing to play hours on end of fetch. My apartment complex has a dog park but so does the city. If your dog is friendly with others, up to date on their vaccines and flee/tick meds, I can take them to the park too. I can also lay around and snuggle with those couch potatoes too.

Availability
I work full time, but it's usually a 9 to 5 job so Im free in the morning and evenings. I have a week off on Thanksgiving too. I also occasionally work from home as well. On the weekends I usually don't work and if I do it's usually only for a couple of hours. My work is also pet friendly so if your pup is behaved and vaccinated I can sometimes take them with me.
