Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Katie. I'm a Veterinarian who has been caring for dogs and other animals for over ten years. Not only am I very comfortable with all breeds and ages of dogs, but I also have extensive knowledge in caring for elderly and special needs pets- which means that I'll be more than happy to accommodate those with anxiety of behavioral problems, that require oral or injectable medications for conditions like diabetes or hypothyroidism, or those that have mobility issues, hearing loss, or blindness. You can rest easy while you're away knowing that your pets are staying with someone with complete knowledge of animal health and behavior! I live in Demossville, KY with my wife, Jen. Jen is currently working towards becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician and is also very knowledgeable about caring for dogs. We have two well-behaved 50 lb dogs, a 6 pound maltese, as well as 2 cats. All of our animals are friendly and good with other animals. Our accommodations include a large fenced yard around our house with a comfy kennel area in our basement. Pets will be kept seperate from ours when we are away but will be welcome to cuddle with us on the couch and bed when we are home! We would love to watch your dog(s) for you while you are away! Our rates can be negotiated and our schedule tends to be very flexible. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Our 11 year old lab was in great hands with Katie and Jen! They kept me posted on how he was doing, sent me pics and I felt like I could enjoy my vacation without worrying. Katie being a vet was added peace of mind. Their house was neat as a pin and their pets were well behaved and friendly. Couldn't be more pleased. We'll be back, for sure!
Katie is the sweetest, kindest person and loves animals. She will treat your loved pets as though they are her own! And what a bonus that she is a Vet! Can't get any better than that!

A typical day
We will go on walks around our spacious ten acre farm! Dogs that do not usually go on walks will have tons of space to run in our fenced in yard! We have a wrap around yard that is newly fenced with secure mesh and is great for fetch and play! And don't forget-lots of cuddling and TLC!
