Pet care experience
I am an absolute dog-lover and will provide your pup with the care and affection they need. I am open to pet sitting, dog walking, or quick pop-ins. I previously stayed with two fun-loving german shepherds for eight nights and fell in love with dog sitting. I believe that dogs have the power to heal the soul which is why I would love to feed, play, walk, and explore with your dog around the Bristol, RI area. We have two high energy Shepard’s and they LOVE Katie. She’s reliable, trust worthy and intuitive when it comes to our pets. We’ve had a handful of dog walker/pet sitters but Katie by far is the most capable and our go to person whenever we need our dogs to get extra attention!
For as long as I’ve known Katie, I have never thought of her as anyone other than the most caring, trustworthy, selfless, intelligent, and hardworking woman out there. Katie has been my next door neighbor since before she was born, and she is one of my favorite humans. She’s like a daughter to me and a sister to my sons. She is a warm, loving, exciting, enthusiastic person who will be a responsible and trustworthy dog care giver. She was a favorite of our dog Memphis and we were very happy when she took care of him when we were out of town. Anyone will be very happy with her services.
Katie has a true passion for all animals, especially dogs! She's very caring, loving and patient with my 4 year old, incredibly energetic lab, Mayflower. She handles interaction with Mayflower with poise and ease- Mayflower loves Katie! I think Katie would make a wonderful addition to your sweet pups walkies!

I understand that dogs have a curious mind, and will often want to go wherever their snoot leads them! I am very aware of dogs when I’m with them and like to be proactive when it comes to their safety. Ensuring food is kept away, leashes are at a comfortable length on walks, and always keeping an eye out for potential distractions is key when I’m taking care of your pup.

Please let me know if your dog has issues with other dogs. This is not a deal breaker but I like to know ahead of time, so I can best plan out my course of action/ where we walk, to avoid any altercations or issues.
A typical day
I love to go on walks! I understand that a walk is not just the physical exercise, but also letting your dog experience the world through their strongest sense- their smell! I love letting dogs work their brain by sniffing their way around town, and if you’re comfortable with it, off leash fetch is a great physical exercise that is fun for both of us!
