Pet care experience
I have a lifetime of taking care of personal pets as well as several years of professional pet care as a veterinary assistant. I currently own four dogs of my own, and live in a house with a fenced in yard about 20 miles from Sioux Falls. I am experienced in animal first aid and CPR, and have experience with a vast amount of breeds.
Reviews
Katie took our 2 year old Aspen while we were out of town for a weekend sports event. Very communicative, sent lots of pictures and videos of Aspen settling in and having fun. Aspen is a spoiled only child but fit in nicely with Katie’s pack of dogs. We are very picky and wanted a dog friendly household with a fenced in backyard and no kenneling. Katie exceeded our expectations with Aspen. Thank you Katie and family for providing Aspen with comfort and fun while we were away! It made our intense sports tournament weekend much less stressful!
Our puppy loved staying with Katie! She was really easy to communicate with and sent a lot of pictures of our dog playing with hers. He came home happy & tired from all of the backyard time.

I would need to know if your pets get along with other animals (cats and dogs). I will not accept a dog that has not successfully been around both, with young puppies being the exception. I will also need to know if they have any special requirements (medications, special routines, etc)
A typical day
Depending on the season we usually spend a decent amount of time playing fetch in the yard or going on walks. In warm months I like to go on outings around the countryside.

I work from home so I will be available to care for any dogs at my home 24/7. I have a very flexible schedule, allowing me to walk and spend time with dogs outside of my home.
