Hi! We’re Katie and Byron and we love taking care of your pets. Since we have a dog of our own, we know from first-hand experience how important it is to feel like your pet is in safe hands and our goal for every client is to give you peace of mind. Having two of us not only provides you with two sitters for the price of one, but we have a lot of flexibility and can give your pets plenty attention. (Katie works hybrid and Byron is fully remote & makes his own schedule.) We get so much joy out of providing the best care for your pets and have experience with a wide range of animals including senior pets, reactive dogs, and dogs that require medication. We also pride ourselves on leaving homes where we sit in the state as when we arrive. We appreciate the trust you’re putting in us by allowing us in your home and want to make sure we take care of it like it’s our own. Overall, we are willing to customize care as needed and try to recreate the same experience pets would get with their owners.

We’d like to know about your dog's regular schedule and routine, rules we will need to follow in caring for your dog, and any medical conditions that require my attention. Also, for boarding, it’s always helpful to know relevant details about your home I.e. where to park, taking trash out, where cleaning supplies are located, etc.
A typical day
We love getting to know each dog we care for and understanding what they love to do most. First and foremost we always follow care instructions. A part from that, a typical day could include a walk or a hike (if the dog enjoys that!), a trip to a dog park to play fetch, or just enjoying cuddle time on the couch. We live directly across from Lake Merritt, so love taking pups there as well for dogs staying in our home. Additionally, for house sitting, Katie will typically be the person to stay over night while Byron will fill in for walks or check ins during the day. If this arrangement doesn’t work for you, please let us know, we are happy to accommodate if possible!

Availability
One of us is usually home/available since Byron works 100% remote and I have a hybrid schedule. Additionally, since we already have our own dog we are very used to the routine that comes with caring for a pet. When we have a pet under our care, we always consider their schedule and needs first.
