Thank you for choosing our profile. At this time we are not accepting new clients, repeat clients only. Thank you to all of our existing clients. We look forward to your next stay. I have 30 years of experience caring for dogs as well as many other animals (horses, cats, hamsters, bunnies, fish, goats, chickens, and birds)- perfectly natural, being from Minnesota and all. Owners of previous guests, have likened my understanding a dog's temperament to that of a 'dog whisperer.' When watching your pampered pooch, my husband and I make it a point to ensure that this is also a vacation for your your pup. We typically take anywhere from 3- 5 walks per day. As a bonus, we have 1 dog park and neighborhood park minutes from our home, so socializing and exercise are never a problem. Our home is an average size, with plenty of room for our guests to roam freely and comfortably. Most dogs have a routine at home, so we try to stick to their "schedule" to make their stay as comfortable as possible. I am from Minnesota and came to Boston to attend Wellesley College. My husband is from S. Florida and has been a resident of Boston for over 15 years.

I want to preface this review by saying we've been using Rover/DogVacay for 3-4 years. We tend to find a sitter we love & use them until one of us moves. Katie & Jorge were quick with communications in setting up the meet & greet, and seemed great while we spent over 20 minutes at their place for Loki to be acquainted with them and their home. Unfortunately, they neither listened to what I verbally said about caring for our dog, nor read/followed the written instructions we have sent with him for years when he was being watched. They locked our dog up in his kennel overnight, then complained about him whining & barking (which was a result of being locked in). He does normally sleep in his bed or his kennel, but it is never locked. While we were half way across the country on vacation, we woke in the morning to texts that we had a limited time frame to find him somewhere else to go. They did not call us in the night regarding the whining so we could help troubleshoot - we just woke to cancellations. We then had to spend well over an hour of our vacation time frantically trying to find somewhere to take our dog - IMMEDIATELY (on the weekend) - and coordinate the vet faxing over vaccinations, etc. Fortunately, we found a wonderful place for him who said he was playful and was great to have, and Katie & Jorge were able to bring him there for us.
I am so happy I met Katie & Jorge! Snickers had a great stay with them while I was away. Katie sent me plenty of updates/pictures/videos and I was so happy Snickers was getting so much attention and love. They were sitting another dog as well so he had a friend to play with and they also took him to their friends bbq where he played with ANOTHER doggy friend and kids loved him. I'm confident Snickers had a great time, he was super tired from all the fun! I will definitely reach out to book another stay when I sort out my next vacation! Thank you guys!!
Rugby clearly had a great time with Katie! He came home happy, healthy, and the good kind of worn out. For us humans, she was fantastic as well. Very easy to coordinate with for the meet and greet and drop off, and she sent us lots of great picture updates. We would definitely recommend her and will hopefully use her again!
We booked a last minute overnight stay for our French Bulldog and Katie and Jorge were great! They were flexible with our schedule and Sarge had such a good time that he slept for the entire afternoon after we picked him up. We would definitely use Katie again! Thanks!

We need to know how much the dog barks. We love French Bulldogs, Bulldogs, Pitbulls, Hello Erica, Does Casey bark a lot or during the night or if left alone in the house? We had a terrible experience with a dog we had not met and it turned out that the dog barked incessantly if left alone and wined all night long. We had to have the owner get a friend to pick up the dog. This has never happened to us. So before we do a meet and greet I was wondering if he is a barker while inside. Thank you! Katie We will not watch Labs, Retrievers, King Charles Cavaliers, Chihuahuas.
A typical day
Walks to the dog park if they enjoy playing with other dogs. If they do not we have a place where we can get them off leash to fetch and run. There is a park near us that we always walk to. At home there is alway playtime or sniggle time.
