Katie grew up with dogs and horses and has always found the company of animals delightful and very necessary. She has a deep understanding and positive communication skills with animals. Her goal is to provide pet parents with peace of mind while giving fur babies the best possible and completely comfortable experience. Katie's home provides a relaxed and quiet atmosphere with full time supervision by her and her husband. The home is in a rural setting with a large, fully fenced back yard bordered by woods, providing lots of space to play and explore with ample mix of sun and shade. Katie is a certified Tellington TTouch practitioner for companion animals (having completed 3 years of hands-on behavior training and behavior therapy work) as well as having fifty years experience in dog training, showing and teaching obedience. Guest pups are sure to have loads of fun and love as well as positive guidance. Katie is a full-time dog sitter & portrait artist allowing her to offer flexible hours to clients. Her own dogs grew up in a dog rich environment and are highly skilled at communicating with and being a guest dogs best friend. •Feed and water dishes provided (cleaned daily) •Toys provided (cleaned/replaced regularly) •Treats provided - treats from home are welcome •Crate & bedding provided - a bed or blanket from home is strongly encouraged to make bed time more comfortable and familiar. Limitations: No dogs over 30 (adult weight) pounds. Puppies must be 6 months old, fully vetted, neutered, and housebroken. Dogs must be crate trained. As this is our home, we can not accept pee pad, or fully diapered (unhousetrained) dogs. We will accommodate light incontinence. She enjoys nothing more than being at home with her fur friends in the quiet countryside. On nice days dogs enjoy the comfort of the screened porch and ability to enjoy the large yard at their leasure while Katie draws. Evenings are couch cuddles and movies. Both main entrance/exits from the property are double gated to eliminate escapes. The chain link is fully staked to the ground and also has an electric wire at the top of the fence (thanks to our own Beagle, ShelbyLynn) to prevent climbing out. Whether inside or out, dogs are under constant supervision, unless crated during a brief absence or at night time when humans are asleep. Inside the home the large living room and kitchen are gated from the rest of the house for the safety of the guest dogs. No pesticides or chemicals are used in the dogs yard of any kind.
