Dogs are guaranteed three walks a day when I board them or house sit. Once in the morning before work (~20 minutes), at lunch (~30 minutes) and in the evening (~1 hour at various locations depending on weather). In addition to the three daily walks are regular potty breaks about every three hours. I don't have house rules for dogs, because I follow any guidance from the owners (i.e. if animals aren't allowed on the furniture in your house, I won't allow them on the furniture in my house). I live in a house with a fully fenced in backyard. I don't mind hosting animals at my house, but I believe that animals prefer to be in familiar surroundings especially when their humans are away so I prefer to watch them in their own homes.
