I have been thinking about doing dog sitting for awhile, mainly because my daughter is grown and i love the company.I have had pets most of my life. The largest dogs i had were old english sheepdogs. I currently have a 10 lb crestipoo under 2 yrs old and i usually foster a dog for soulmate rescue in grapevine. I'm not doing this for the money, i'm doing it because i love dogs, helping them get socialized and happy and helps keep my dog Mushu socialized. I'm open to most situations, but i cannot accept a dog in my home that is aggressive with my dog/foster dog. I do have a kennel that will hold up to about 50 lb dog and a separate small kennel. Dogs get a lot of attention in my home. I don't yell at dogs, even when there is an accident. I believe in dealing with dogs with kindness and leading them by trust, not force. I'm especially interested in having younger dogs that can play with my Crestipoo, Mushiu. I am not against multiple dogs from 1 owner or dogs that are familiar with each other for boarding at my home at the same time. I do require we meet, somewhere neutral and public first, to see if we are a good fit. I have 1 1/2 yrs working with rescue dogs and know the importance of introducing dogs correctly, especially if one has anxieties or fears. I am getting pretty good at helping dogs adjust and become socialized. So i welcome dogs that may need a little help in these areas as long as they aren't aggressive. I also work from home 4 days a week. With advanced notice i can select the days. I'm very easy to work with for day drop offs. I am normally up by 5am.
