Hey there! I would love to hang out with your awesome dog! I recently completed grad school, and I have extensive dog training, sitting, (and cuddling) experience. I've had my sweet Pekapoo Charlie for 15 years, so I understand the need to have someone you can trust to watch your pup while you're gone. Your dog is a member of your family, so he deserves the best! My love of dogs began when I was a little girl, and I've never looked back! My friends and family have always teased me that "superpower" is having a working knowledge of (almost) every AKC registered breed. A lifetime of poring over dog books and magazines, and countless hours spent analyzing dog shows has made me an unofficial expert! Besides just head knowledge, I also have a great deal of practical training knowledge. My boy Charlie knew over two dozen commands that I started teaching him at 8 weeks old. The key is to find a motivator -- but be careful with the treats! :) While Charlie was a fairly low energy couch potato, even as a puppy, I also love high energy dogs. Two of my regular housesitting "clients" are pointers, and they would chase the ball until they dropped if I let them! Dogs are like kids in that respect; they need exercise, discipline, and affection to be happy and healthy! The more positive reinforcement and praise, the better. I also recently adopted an energetic Goldendoodle puppy named Hopper! I am so excited to continue honing my training skills, as I plan to train Hopper as a therapy dog.
