Growing up, I was the only human child in a family of pups so I am familiar with nuances such as not approaching your dog from above and to be careful if I absolutely have to wake them up from a nap. I’m 28 years old, happily work with dogs of all temperaments, and would love to have the pleasure of hanging out with your pet! My pup friendly home: With a fenced-in dog park and a very walkable, safe neighborhood, my location allows for a variety of outdoor activities (depending on what your dog prefers and is most accustomed to!) Steps from my front door are Allen parkway, Buffalo Bayou and Johnny Steele Dog Park. Memorial park is a quick 5 minutes by car.

This wonderful lady took care of our precious little Milo for a weekend and I received pictures daily of Milo’s activity and I cannot express how grateful I am to Katie for the amazing care she gave to Milo. I would give Katie 10 stars if i could! She is so caring and sweet and goes above and beyond to take care of my 1 year old dog. Katie is extremely accommodating and flexible and keeps me updated with pictures and videos. I can truly relax when I leave town knowing Leo’s in the best hands.
My schnauzer Otto spent Saturday with Katie, she is so sweet and positive, I felt very confident leaving Otto with her and I'm sure he had a great time. Katie sent updates and videos all through the day. Otto will be staying with Katie soon again.

I have a balcony, live very near to parks and grassy areas along Allen Parkway for easy outdoor access, and am a huge supporter of dogs in bed. Crating is not necessary on my end but am more than happy to do so if it is preferred!

I want to hear all about your dog’s quirks and preferences- the things they love and the things that scare them. I take extremely individualized care of every pet that steps through my door, and appreciate anything you can tell me in advance to ensure the best experience for them. Please fill me in on all standard logistics such as: the food and snacks they receive each day, what time they are accustomed to eating, whether they get treats after doing their business or when they arrive back home (or both!), and how much physical activity they expect each day.
A typical day
I spend the day working on painting commissions and studying for my interior design degree, so I will be home the entire stay to keep your pup company and provide frequent time outdoors. Don’t hesitate to message me if you have any questions!

HOLIDAY UPDATE: I am available full-time December 18th through January 2nd. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. USUAL SCHEDULE RESUMING WEEK OF 1/03/22: Book me for long weekend trips or flexible pups who won’t mind a bit of apartment chillin for part of the stay. I work 9-5 Monday through Friday. All other hours will be devoted to your pet- naps on the couch, trail walks, dog parks or sitting on the balcony. Happy to roll with whatever suits your dog best that day. I work 10 minutes from home so I can be flexible should a pick-up or drop-off happen to fall on a weekday. Let me know if this is the case and we can see how to best accommodate your schedule.
