Pet care experience
Hello! I am a veterinary student at the Cummings School for Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. I absolutely adore all animals and they are my passion! I would love to take a break from studying to care for you precious pets! I have experience with dogs, cats, exotics, birds, etc. I worked at a veterinary clinic for 3 years prior to moving to MA. I am well versed in senior pets, puppy needs, and more!

I would HIGHLY recommend Katie as a dog or cat sitter. She is a super experienced foster with the rescue that I run fostering all sorts of dogs and cats. Katie is also in vet school so I feel very comfortable leaving my special needs cat with her. If that isn’t enough to convince you, I have a behaviorally challenged Pitbull and she is one of the only people I trust to stay with him. He not only loves her but I trust that he is safe when he’s with her. Highly reccomend!
I have known Katie Baxter for almost 10 years. During that time I observed how extremely compassionate, reliable and caring she was for my four legged friends. She truly cares about animals and their well being and genuinely gets the greatest joy when caring for them. Not only that, but she also volunteers her time to take to take care of animals :) I would not hesitate to recommend her as your next dog walker.
Katie is super caring, understanding, and very patient with her animals and those she works with. She helped my family and I out when we all were working out of the house, and my dogs fell in love with her. She’s definitely got a way with all breeds and sizes

The safety of your pet is extremely important to me! Dogs outside will always be on a leash or in a fenced in area appropriate for dogs. Doors will always be closed behind me, no escape artists here! Food and small items are put away. Behavior is closely monitored. Medications and feeding schedules will be strictly followed.

A typical day
This is totally dependent on what your dog likes/dislikes/is up for! Can range from simple leash walks, fetch, swimming, grooming, relaxing, feeder puzzles, etc. Whatever makes your pet the most comfortable.

I am currently a student but my schedule is pretty open! I need a reason to take a break from studying biochemistry and anatomy! Afternoons and evenings especially work well. My weekends are free.
