Pet care experience
Hello! I currently am a teacher and looking for a side hustle. I looooove walking Lake Quanapowitt in Wakefield, while getting my tan on, listening to music and walking my dog! I currently am a dog mom to Rufus; he is my 5 year old long hair German Shepherd who people call a "power plant", he loves long walks in new places, meeting other dogs, and winning in tug-of-war.

Katie is great with dogs! Our dog is 65 lbs and high energy and Katie does very well with him. We will definitely be using her for future drop in visits!

With every dog, I treat them as my own. I give great pets, treats, and play time when I take care of other family’s dogs. For other family’s, I have taken in packages, mail, I always pick up after myself and the dog (i.e. toys, dirt) and will wash out food and water bowls.

I do have some experience with dogs who get overly excited and stimulated, my German is currently a work in progress with his training we are giving him and he is making great strides. If your dog has any triggers, behavioral issues, or other information that is important to know before walking or meeting, please don't hesitate to let me know!
A typical day
I love walking dogs for their physical exercise such as walks, but also enjoy stimulating them mentally with games that help them tap into their own instincts, such as hide and seek with balls and treats and learning tricks. I love walking the Wakefield Lake (3.3 miles around) or other ponds, lakes, and reservoirs nearby.

Availability
I am currently working full time as a teacher. These hours are typically 7:30-4:30. After work, I love to get outside and walk as the weather is becoming nicer.
