Hello! I’m Kate - I’ve spent most of my life caring for animals. I’ve had the pleasure of caring for all sorts of creatures - from dogs and cats to horses, donkeys and goats. Do you have a young puppy? —> I understand the importance of finding a great sitter for your puppy, I currently have a little pup myself! I’m 100% onboard to help you with all things puppy - potty training, midday meals, basic training, crate training, ring/bell to go out, tricks/treats etc. Don’t worry, you won’t miss any of your puppy’s firsts - you will get a ton of pictures each visit! Do you have an old (wise!) pet? —> Im here to help with anything your old friend might need - help up or out, special meals, maybe a relaxing massage. I’ve cared for many older pets and understand it requires a lot of love and sometimes a lot of patience. Does your pet require medical attention? —> Many of the pets that I have had over the years have had health issues - diabetes, arthritis, dermatitis, Lyme disease, Cushing’s disease, etc. I understand how important it is to find someone who you can trust to help care for your pet with medical issues and I expect to discuss your pets unique situation (all the important little details) with you in advance. Does your pet just have a totally unique or special need? —> Try me! Personally, I’ve had to find help with the following odd situations for my own pets - feeding our peacock when we were on vacation, giving medication relative to eating a meal, helping move/unload feed, transport pet to/from location, etc. A little more About Me: - I work remotely from home (mechanical engineering consultant) - I am available on weekdays! - I currently have a dog Rumple (aka Rump), a miniature horse Winston, and a little donkey named Lily. - I am always eager to share and keep you updated on how things are going - pictures, ’report cards’, and if you are heading out of town and can’t stand being apart, I can even setup a webcam for you to view! “Dogs are better than human beings because they know but do not tell.” - Emily Dickinson My Background & Experience: - Worked at Best Friends Daycare & Boarding (Pyle Rd. & 202 @ the DE/PA Stateline) for many years while I was in college (and loved it!) - At Best Friends I managed care for 150+ dogs and cats, all with unique diets, exercise, health requirements and of course, personalities. - Lifelong pet owner - Over the years I’ve taken care of many pets for other people - Before using Rover, everyone had been referred to me via word of mouth and most have been scheduling me regularly for many years.
