I do have a steady part-time job, which leaves me room to do what I really enjoy- caring for pets! For my first Rover gig, I provided full-time day care for a puppy, but she's all grown up now. Ideally, I would do the whole situation over again with a new puppy because being a Dog Nanny is the best and most rewarding job I have ever had-potty training and all.

A typical day
Every dog is different when it comes to toys, playing and relaxing. I'd love to know what your dog does for fun so we can make the most of our time. I'm happy to do a lap around the block or throw a ball in the backyard again and again.

Pet care experience
I started off with two dogs of my own as a teenager. After so many years of joy, they're no longer with me. People are often surprised that I had a hermit crab for 10 years. He died when I went on vacation, so I am very aware of the risks we take entrusting another with the care of a beloved pet. I also have about five years experience caring for a rabbit. I miss them all dearly, but the responsibility was huge as a pet parent. So, now I'm very happy to fill in for others when they're in need.

Right from the meet and greet I could tell Katie was an animal lover. She did a great job taking care of our two labs while we were away for an extended weekend.
I have used Katie two times and both times she has been extremely reliable and great with my animals. I highly recommend her.
Katie was great! She sent constant updates/photos of my dogs and made me feel at ease about leaving them. She clearly loves dogs and is great around them. I will definitely use her again when I need a sitter.
