Your pet is ALWAYS my top priority!
Pet care experience
Not only did I have a dog walking business back in the '70s in Chicago before it was "chic" to do so, I've become a certified dog trainer! I've also owned and trained 6 dogs from puppyhood to their adult lives, and welcome well-behaved, obedient, cat-friendly, and social dogs into my home.
Reviews
Kathy (and her roommate Laura) helped out with our dog Hamilton throughout our wedding weekend. They were absolutely amazing. Our needs for Hamilton were fairly complicated since we requested multiple pick-up/drop-offs from various locations at various times (as late as 12:30AM!). Kathy and Laura were kind, punctual, and sent photos of Hamilton having fun with their pups throughout the weekend. They took him hiking (with our permission) and he had a great time. They even agreed to two separate meet and greets beforehand to make sure I was comfortable with our arrangement. On an otherwise somewhat stressful weekend, it meant the world knowing that Hamilton was in great hands. Thank you so much, Kathy and Laura!
Kathy was wonderful for our 4.5 month old Chihuahua mix Bogie. He stayed a week with her and he had fun with her and her crew of sweet dogs. We will definitely use Kathy again when we have Bogie in Beaver Creek with us. Thank you Kathy! 5 STARS!
Kathy is just great overall. She takes good care of our extremely timid dog during the day when we ski. Her girls are so chill and lovely. We got to do a little meet and greet before the first day so we could visit her and see if her place was a good fit. We'd definitely contact her if we ever go skiing again in the surroundings.
Kathy was terrific. I needed to make last minute arrangements for my Frenchie and Kathy was available to pick him up as soon as I landed. She provided him with toys (that he kept), warm clothes and tons of love and attention. She was very proactive and responsive, and sent updates with photos everyday. She even improved his manners and my frenchie was sad to leave her. Thank you Kathy!

I live in an apartment within the home that my best friend owns. We have 3 fenced yards on the property (2 of which are accessible by dog doors), and between Laura and I, your dog will get plenty of attention (actually, if you think about it, you'll be getting two sitters for the cost of one!) We can provide daily walks of at least 2 miles into the backcountry behind her house (up Berry Creek Access Road), and constant interaction with my 2 dogs (a female Corgi named Rozie, and a female Norfolk Terrier mix named Poppy) and Laura's dog (a male Australian Kelpie/Cattle Dog mix named Zazz). We have the ability to crate your pet, if required. We can also keep them separate from the household dogs, if necessary.

Information Kathy K. would like to know about your pet
Please tell me about your dog's temperament: gets along great with any other dog(s), doesn't like other dogs at all, likes some doesn't like others. Does she always need to be on leash or can she run free? Dietary requirements/restrictions? Medications...oral, injection? Up-to-date on vaccinations? Any separation anxiety issues? Can she use dog doors? How does she do on car rides/being in the car? Does she do okay with cats?
A typical day
The home I live in backs up to Berry Creek access road, so the majority of our excursions will be into the back country right out our gate. However, if your pet requires something different, I'd be more than happy to accommodate them accordingly.

Availability
Being a full-time, self-employed business owner, I set my own schedule and can book massage clients around the care that your pet may need. My availability varies, but is always scheduled around the needs of any pet I'm taking care of. I work out of the home I live in, as well as travel to other people's homes for my massage therapy business, so I'm always in and out throughout any given day.
