Pet care experience

I work in the field of education and i am only away from home a few hours a day. . Ive volunteered at Last Hope animal shelter walking and caring for the dogs and attended dog training sessions there and have experience teaching basic commands. I also learned from the shelter how to keep dogs safe which sometimes may require a brief confinement in a crate during feeding time drop off of another animal and before being introduced to the pack which I do a certain way on a leash. The majority of their time will be spent with me and playing with other dogs. My drop off process involves removing the other dogs from the area. Taking your belonging .quickly going over your pets instruction. And taking them in yard to potty..or into the kitchen behind gate away from front door access. But in order to not keep the other dogs that were removed from the area seperate for too long.. I prefer to keep drop-off short and sweet. We are a family with pets. 1 dog and 2 cats. Your pet will be part of our household during it's stay. That would include backyard play, walks, companionship with our dogs , lots of attention, big secured yard, comfortable place to sleep. I have been watching dogs of all ages, personalities and breeds and implement the right amount of training and assertiveness needed to match your dogs needs. We would make your pet feel safe. I would not like to administer medications or watch dog that use pee pads. I will give plenty of outdoor access to go potty. I will not be taking very old dogs or dogs that are not mobile and need assistance getting in an out of house. Along with dogs that are notorious escapees or chewers. I strive to keep a tranquil environment where every dog gets the same ammount of attention and not only the one acting out. Please note that my daycare rate is $50 for a one day job . For extended care, I will provide a custom quote.

I felt very comfortable as soon as I met Kathy. I can see right away she was knowledgeable in the doggie daycare field. She asked all the right questions when I came for the meet and greet. Her house was clean and her other animals were friendly as well. I recommend her and gladly use her again.

Kathy was great with our German Shepherd. She sent us pictures of how he was adapting being away from home. Kathy was very responsive in our communication during our trip.

My dogs gave Kathy a rough time but she remained patient and kept us informed of what was going on. Thanks again for watching my pups!

Information Kathy J. would like to know about your pet

I try to keep my boarders to 4 or 5maximum. Holidays are often busy. if your dog requires special attention or accommodations, it's better you choose a 1 dog at a time dogsitter. Sometimes for safety reasons your dog might have to be temporarily crated. I use large crates and use them only when dogs are separated to eat, when introducing new dogs, or when I must leave my home temporarily.

A typical day

I have a large gated yard with plush grass areas. Shady or sunny spots whichever they prefer. I keep toys and cots on patio if they prefer to watch and not play. Ample water always available
