I Take My Responsibility Personally

Pet care experience

Hi, Thanks for checking out my Rover profile page. I am a passionate dog, cat, bird and animal lover. As with all the pets I’ve ever owned, I know that your pets are not just pets, they are your family members. I care for them like they are a family member of my family. I know animals can be a lot of work and require a lot of affection and care, and that's where I come in! I am responsible for plant watering, garbage duty, grocery and mail pick up and other household chores during your absence. Not a problem. To enhance success and preserve the safety of your pet and keep our communication open and direct, I strongly suggest we have a Meet and Greet before booking any reservation. At this time, we can get to know each other and I can meet your pet. We can discuss exactly what your pet needs prior to providing services. Let's avoid any misunderstandings as much as we possibly can and openly ask the questions before the booking. *My rates are my "standard" rates for a "standard" dog. What this means? *Standard dogs I consider to be an "average" animal. An average dog is mostly well behaved, can walk on a leash and doesn't try to attack and charge after every other living breathing dog, cat, squirrel, bird or living creature. A standard dog is one that doesn't try to bite me, or show aggressive behavior. Just an "average" pet. *Standard times that I am available to provide services are between 7:00am - 7:00pm. I prefer to only work during these times. *Standard pet sitting/housesitting, means your pet is accustomed to being left alone longer than 2 hours at a time while unattended. This mostly means that during our booking I can leave your animal alone (more than 2 hours but not more than 3-4 hours) and return to your home and not find your home destroyed. A normal reservation begins when I arrive at your home during the late afternoon beginning the first night of my stay, I stay the overnight and leave the following morning. This is how most of my clients arrange the stay. This can certainly be adjusted based on your needs. No problem. Just let me know arrival and departure times during our Meet and Greet. With regard to my overnight, I request that you have the sheets and bed linen be freshly laundered on the bed and a fresh towel and face cloth be made available. In return, I will kindly make sure before I leave that your linen’s are washed and returned the way they were received. It's just a nice courtesy I like to provide. Of course, if you or your dog have other special requirements, don't hesitate to mention this when we Meet & Greet. The more I know, as I've said before the more successful our association is going to be. Please don't feel holding back information is helpful, it's not. If you know that in the past your dog has run outside in your yard and hides in a special hiding place, please tell me. If your cat likes to escape out the back door and be gone until dinner time, this is important for me to know as well. :) If you pet has bitten the prior Rover walker, I'd like to know this too. Special hi and welcome to my new clients, if you use my promo code, you will save yourself $20 on your first booking with me. Please type in: https:www.rover.com/sit/KATHYG60521 at check out. As the world begins to get back to normal, many people and my clients are requesting my housesitting services for conservative weeks. This is great news for me 😁 but it’s become very sad because I’ve been turning down requests because I am already booked. My regular clients are angry as they don’t want to use new sitters. If you know when you are traveling, please call ASAP to inquire about my availability. We’re all on the move, and your favorite pet sitter is no exception. One last thing, so many have asked me about tipping and how this works. If you are happy with how things worked out with and of my services, you are most welcome to leave me a tip, of course, BUT, BUT, BUT what is much more appreciated is a favorable review on Rover. That is so much more valuable to me than $$. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you and your pet (s). Let's get to know each other and have some fun. 🐶😽 I only care for one pet at a time unless you have more than one pet. Unfortunately, boarding is not offered. We have a very small condo which will not accommodate and additional pets right now. Sorry!

Kathy was the perfect fit for us and our pets! She was so punctual and friendly in our first interview and we were instant friends. I got photos of my babies daily, and she even filled the hummingbird feeders.

Amazing! I have a new deaf senior rescue and this was my first time leaving her. Kathy was great with her. Very patient and interested in knowing what my dog likes/dislikes. Also administered med’s. Kathy really went above and beyond.

Kathy is awesome and a great communicator! She helped me out with my little Lucy when I was in a bind and Lucy loved her! I highly recommend her!

Information Kathy G. would like to know about your pet

I have grown up with pets my entire life. As a kid, we always had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish and even ducks. My mom was a breeder of Newfoundland's, and there was always at least two or three big old Newf's in the house. When my husband and I travel, rather than leaving our dog home, Sophie, got to travel the world with us. Sophie is now in NeverNeverLand and we miss her everyday. I also have experience with knowing how to get the paperwork going to travel internationally with your pets. Glad to help.

A typical day

You know your pet better than anyone. You tell me what activities your pet enjoys. If it's long walks in the park or a quick skip around the block I can accommodate your pets needs. The more I know about your pet the better we will get along. I am not afraid to go the extra distance to see that your pet gets all the attention and love just like you would do.
