Pet care experience

Both my husband and I grew up with dogs in our family. Our family fostered a standard poodle puppy for 18 months for the Guide Dog Foundation of Long Island. He went back to be trained as a guide dog for the blind. I have volunteered for American Poodles at Work, a non profit that trains poodles as service/assistance dogs because they are hypoallergenic. We have rescued two other poodles and loved them till they passed away. I am very tuned into dogs personalities and enjoy figuring out their behavior patterns. In general, most dogs feel comfortable with me because I am patient and quiet but I am definitely the Alpha and can direct dogs and humans gently and firmly. I will send you photos if you want while your dog is in my care so you can feel reassured and connected. We live on a rural street near the Ipswich marshes. HYPOALLERGENIC DOGS ONLY FOR BOARDING AND DAY CARE BECAUSE OF MY HUSBAND’S ASTHMA. Thank you!

Kathy did a fantastic job taking care of our beloved pup. She gave our doggie tons of love, attention, and exercise. She was great about keeping us posted as to how Piper was doing. We would hire Kathy again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

For my wedding, I had my two dogs as part of the ceremony. I was looking for someone to pick them up after the ceremony and keep them overnight. I had a hard time finding someone and was recommended by a pet company to search on the Rover website. This is where I found Kathy! She was sooo great! She came by the venue in the morning to grab the dogs belongings (food, etc) because she didn’t want me to worry about it later. She was there at the reception to pick them up. The whole process was really easy and convenient. My dogs were happy! I would definitely recommend Kathy!

We were so fortunate to connect with Kathy to watch Rugby, our 11 year old Cockapoo. She showered him with fun walks and cuddles - and even an actual shower! We loved getting photo and written updates to keep us in the loop of his vacation! Thank you, Kathy!
