Pet care experience
I've owned cats and dogs my entire life, and grew up taking care of my own pets while simultaneously pet-sitting for neighbors and family friends. My partner and I are fortunate enough to share our home with a VERY opinionated 5-ish year old rescue cat named Figaro. Although he is ALWAYS in my lap, Fig does know he has to share me at times. I love caring for animals - whether that means snuggling on the couch or walking/running them around beautiful DC. Whatever your pet care needs, I can offer them. I've cared for active puppies, playful kittens, sleepy old Danes, elderly cats with dietary needs and much more. Let me help you keep your furry friend happy, healthy, and surrounded with love!

This was the second time Kathryn took care of my cat and she was once again fantastic! She did a great job keeping me updated during each visit, and was very understanding when my cat didn’t want to play or wasn’t being the most friendly. Highly recommend!
Kathryn is always the best with our cat, Bijou. She’s attentive and dependable and sends the best updates on our boy while we’re away. I always know he’s in good hands with her. Will use her again for sure!
Kathryn took excellent care of my cat while I was away for a long weekend! My cat is not the most friendly with strangers, but Kathryn was patient with her and tried to entertain her at each visit. She was very communicative with me throughout the weekend. I came home to a very happy and well cared for kitty! I highly recommend Kathryn!

While I can’t offer care out of my own home (Fig is a jealous guy), I can assure you that your pet will receive the best care at your place. I am comfortable walking dogs around the city, and helping reinforce any commands you might be working on/using with them. For drop-ins, I’m happy to work with you to set a schedule that makes sense for you and your pet.

It’s helpful to know of any special needs or unique traits ahead of care, so I can make sure your buddy is taken care of as best as possible. Any unusual habits, eating schedules, unique commands and more are helpful to know in advance.
A typical day
I love going for long walks around the city, and I’d be happy to take your buddy with me! If they’re comfortable around other dogs I’m happy to stop at a dog park for socialization, or play some games in the park to keep them energized.

I work fully virtually, so with enough notice I’ll make time for a walk with your furry friend, or plan to keep your pet company while I work remotely - you tell me!
