Pet care experience
I lived with a house mate for 5 years to help her take care of her three dogs. Now that I'm in a place of my own, I want to help you with YOUR dogs! Full disclosure for boarding: I live in a townhouse :) I've had pets of all kinds throughout my life and am flexible for many different situations. My number one goal is to let you be stress free and to get your pup(s) outside! Walks, dog park, hikes, let's go! I am a middle school teacher by day with a somewhat flexible schedule. I am an active hiker and outdoor person. If your dog needs a two mile run in the morning or a casual afternoon stroll, I've got you! If you're like my family, then you might have more types of animals than just dogs. I am an experienced caregiver for all kids of pets including rodents (rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc.), chickens, lizards, and more - Just ask!

Katie was fantastic! As soon as we had our meet and greet, we knew Katie would be a perfect fit to care for our two pups while we went out-of-town. She was so sweet and kept us posted on how the dogs were doing. She seemed to have a lot of experience caring for animals and left us feeling at ease leaving our dogs with her. We’ll definitely look to use Katie again in the future!!

Katie watched our pups for the weekend and went above and beyond with taking them on hikes and to go swimming! We’re happy to have found someone who takes them out as much as we do over the weekends instead of just doing the bare minimum!

I have a *small* fenced yard that's good for potty breaks and sniffs. Dogs can watch bird and deer TV through the back door! There's plenty of [un-fenced] open space to run around in my neighborhood, too. Pups can hang out on the couch or reading chair inside, or run up and down the stairs if they have the zoomies!

A typical day
Daily walks around the neighborhood and longer weekend walks to the greenway or a car ride to hike in the park! I live near the McAlpine dog park if your pup/s are into the dog park life :)

I am a teacher, so during the week I am up early but back home by 4pm. My days are somewhat flexible and I am able to come home between classes for potty breaks if needed!
