I have 4 years of dog sitting experience. Friends and neighbors always seek me out to watch their belove pup or just for advice pertaining to their dog. I am extremely patient, love to stay active, and a huge animal lover. I am knowledgeable in basic dog behavior and basic dog obedience. Kathryn is a responsible and loving dog caregiver. I have a feisty Shiba Inu and she has know him since he was a puppy. Before he was old enough to go to doggy daycare, she would walk him during lunch time (Monday-Friday) with no problem. She taught us and him commands: "leave it" and "paw". She has experience with many different breeds and will not put your fur-baby in harms way.
The way that Kathryn trains her dogs and how she shows her love and affection was how she earned my trust in leaving my Beju (shih tzu) with her for a few days while I was away on a trip. She takes the time to listen to what your needs are for you pet. My Beju was recovering from his neuter surgery when I left him in her care. She treated Beju as one of her own, making sure he took his medicine and carefully monitored him. She also took the time to send me daily pictures and videos of Beju. Beju had a great time playing with her dogs and enjoyed the scenic walks in her neighborhood. Whenever I have to be away from my dogs, Kathryn is my first choice for a dog sitter
Kathryn Torres has been nothing, but amazing to our family. She has dog walked and even dog sat our Pit-bull, Leo. She really goes over the top to make sure the dog's safety and well being is put first. She has also trained both of her dogs as puppies, and is great with responding to animal behavior. She has great knowledge of what a dog needs/wants. One thing I always enjoy when my pup is in Katie's care, she always updates us with a video and cute photos to reassure us Leo was having a ball, which we never doubted. A typical day
Owning a husky of my own, I can walk/run for miles! If the dog needs a 30-45 minute walk, I wouldn't mind at all. I would walk around your local neighborhood. If you are in the Norfolk metro area, I would walk your dog around Towne Point Park, stop by the Pagoda and watch the waves.
