Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m Kathryn. I am 22 years old and graduated from VCU this past May. I have lived with dogs and cats my whole life and I miss my family pets dearly, which is why I’m so excited to care for your furry friends and give them all the love they can handle! I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all sizes. However, I do have problems with my back so I would prefer to care for dogs that are easy to work with and not too jumpy if they’re big. I also have extensive small animal experience, as I volunteered at Friends of Rabbits rabbit rescue as a volunteer and special needs foster for the last few years. I am available for daytime and overnight petsitting as well as dog walking. Rates provided are negotiable. I have my own vehicle and can provide transportation for pets as needed.

Katherine was absolutely amazing! She took great care of my cat and my young puppy. She did an overnight stay for a few days, and she was great. My puppy is quite the handful, and she did awesome!!! She followed all my instructions, asked questions when needed, and took great care of the house! Book her if she is available! She is an amazing sitter.

I will stick to your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, and will make sure they get as many walks and potty breaks as they normally do. For all house sitting bookings, I can spend the night at the house and hang out with your pets as much as possible during the day, though I will need to leave for brief volunteer shifts, errands etc. I will send lots of updates (with pictures!) and will be as responsive as possible to communications during the stay.

A typical day
I am happy to take your dog anywhere, either on a walk around the neighborhood or for a car ride. I am very familiar with Richmond and the various parks that are around town. I can take your dog to visit some of my favorite places in the city or take them anywhere he/she likes to go! Of course all of our activities will be socially distanced and done as safely as possible in light of COVID-19 precautions. I will be wearing a mask and will not be with any additional people that would increase the risk of spread.

Aside from brief errands and volunteer shifts, I will be able to stay at the house full time to hang out with your pup! This includes overnights.
