Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Kat and I have always been an animal lover. I grew up with Boxers and pitbulls so I have been responsible for dogs pretty much my entire life. Living in Ocean Beach makes it SO easy to take your pooch to the beach, park, or even brunch. I have a 5 year old Boxer, Fiona who graciously welcomes all types of dogs into her home! I also have a cat, Hawk, who is really tolerant of all the dogs that come in and out of here. I have experience administering meds so if thats a requirement that is not a problem at all. Have any special requests or needs for your pup? I'm all ears! I can't wait to me you and your furry friends! Want to see videos of us in action? Follow me on Instagram @fi_nomenal_friends

SUCH AN AMAZING SITTER!! My dog is like my child and Kathryn took amazing care of him and gave me so many updates! She even took him on a day on the town! I will be using her services again!
Kat is always amazing with my 2 huskies who are always excited to see her! She does a great job sending updates throughout their stay and asking questions to help provide the best care possible. I always feel comfortable when Kat is watching them.
Super communicative and incredibly patient with my wild puppy! I hope she will continue to have us❤️
Kat is so kind and warm and considerate. My dog had plenty of fun while we popped in from out of town. Really appreciate her flexibility and knowledge of dogs needs and individual temperaments.

I only provide daycare and boarding services in my own home so your dog will always have friends here. I watch multiple dogs at a time and my house can get pretty chaotic. I let them zoom throughout the house and rough house all day. Not every dog thrives in that kind of environment and that's ok but just want everyone to know what it's like here. Feel free to watch my daily stories to get a pretty accurate sample @fi_nomenal_friends Dogs in my home may have fears to new people or triggers that I may not even know about. I am very transparent on social media and otherwise so I do not allow strangers into my home. It is extremely stressful to both me and the dogs. Excitement, stress, and fear are all sure fire ways to incite a fight and that is not the safe and playful environment that I foster within my home.

Information Kathryn R. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have separation anxiety? Can they be left alone? - I need to be able to leave my house without inciting fear and panic. It's not fair to me, the other dogs in my home or your own dog. Is your dog crate trained? - in order to have safe feedings, I separate everyone. I also want them to be confident in their crate for bedtime so everyone gets a good night sleep. Do they have good recall? Are they allowed off leash? Any food or toy aggression? Allergies? I require dogs to be dropped off in the morning so I have the chance to exercise them and acclimate them to their new surroundings. Pickup can be flexible but 9am l pickup is what is included with boarding. They are more than welcome to stay for a half day or into the evening the day of pickup for daycare if that is best for you! Because of my frequency at the park and beach, intact males/females are accepted upon my discretion. If they are a humper, it’s an automatic no.
A typical day
I go to the beach or park often and I have an open floor plan in my house where they are free to be wild all day and I do have a small yard for playing or lounging as well.
