A Pet Sitter you can trust

Pet care experience

ABOUT ME: Welcome! My name is Kathryn. I am a wife and mother with 12 years experience caring for all types of animals. Previously a Veterinary Assistant and Equine Facilities Manager, my life took a unique turn in July of 2021 when I lost my youngest son to a heart condition caused by a rare genetic disease. I have since refocused my energy into academia and the field of human health. Currently, I am a senior-level Public Health major at Old Dominion University. I plan to pursue a MS in Genetic Counseling come Spring of 2023. With that in mind, I have always been passionate about caring for animals. Crazy dog lady—Crazy horse lady? Call me what you will. Animals hold such a special place in my heart. Rover is a wonderful platform which allows me to balance my love for animals with my new endeavors. I am happy to serve my clients and their pets. PLEASE NOTE: My operating hours are from 9am to 7pm daily. If you have contacted me outside of these hours, I will reply to your request the following business day. Kathryn was amazing!! Thumper has a terrific time and was comfortable the whole time he was with Kathryn. The pictures Kathryn sent really put my mind at ease while he was in her care. I’ll definitely ask for Kathryn’s assistance with Thumper again.

We couldn't be more pleased with our senior dog Olive's care over the holidays. She is a big girl with a lousy rear axle and needs a lot of help up and down stairs and is also on a lot of meds. Kathryn kept us posted on how she was doing, gave her lots of TLC, and even sent pictures. We would definitely recommend her, especially for sitting dogs with special needs. Thanks a million, Kathryn!

Kathryn took very good care of our two kitties for four days. One of them needs a med once a day and she had no problem taking care of that. Very pleased.

Kathryn was very friendly and outgoing. She was very attentive to my puppy. She asked good questions about behaviors which showed great interest and knowledge of dogs. She kept in contact with me while I was out of town with updates on my puppy. I would recommend and will be using her services again.

SCHEDULE: I am a full time student doing mostly remote work, this means I am home most of the time. Aside from one in-person class I do not leave the home when I have boarders but to visit the grocery store or pick my son up from school. Occasionally, I will need to leave to perform walks/drop-in services within my schedule. Dogs are never left alone for more than an hour, and they are monitored on camera.
