Pet care experience
I am a young professional with a deep love for dogs. I’ve had dogs my entire life and recently got a puppy of my own, a Golden Retriever named Queso. I dog and house sat for friends and family throughout high school, college and beyond. I’ve been using Rover for over 3 years and love getting to meet new dogs and their owners! I promise to treat and love your dogs like they are my own. I work from home 4/5 days a week with a flexible work schedule, making it easy to give your pups what they need and more. I am free on the weekends and have no problem staying overnight at your house to make sure your dog is the most comfortable. I am punctual so you can always expect me to be somewhere when I say I will be there. If your dog is good with other dogs, Queso loves to meet new friends!

Kathryn really helped us out--she was available to stay with our dogs during Thanksgiving, allowing us to travel out of state to be with family. The dogs can be a handful--barky and neurotic--but they loved Kathryn who was confident and kind in her interactions with them. She kept in contact during the stay, giving me daily updates via text. When we got home, the dogs were happy and the house was just as we'd left it! I highly recommend Kathryn if you need a dog/house sitter.
Kathryn watched my two pugs at my home for a weekend. She followed all of my instructions and was very communicative. She took excellent care of my dogs and my home. I will definitely use her services again!
From start to finish, working with Kathryn was easy. She took great care of our kitties (the pups were with us this trip) and our house. We arrived home to relaxed cats, scooped boxes and no stinky food smells. Thanks, Kathryn, we hope to book you again!

I currently only care for pets in the owner’s home and I make sure to stick to the same routine your dog is used to; they’re already dealing with the change of a new person so why make it harder on them? I will keep your house clean as if it were my own & leave it the way I found it. I’ll follow all rules you have for your dog even when you are gone, and am happy to help out with other household needs while you’re away (trash, recycling, mail, watering plants, etc). I am just recently exploring offering care for dogs in my own home, for overnight stays or just day time hours. I have a 9 month old male Golden Retriever puppy of my own and it is imperative that your dog gets along with mine (happy to schedule a meet and greet with them first). He is full of energy, very socialized and used to being around other dogs. I am happy to discuss in more detail as this will likely be case by case specific.

Does your dog do well around other dogs? Does your dog do well around strangers/kids? How long can your dog be left alone, if at all? What is your dog’s routine (meal times, bathroom break frequency, walk times, wake up and bed time, etc) Does your dog like walks? Does your dog have any odd habits that you’re used to but might catch me off guard at first? I absolutely LOVE big dogs; labs, golden retrievers, German/Australian Shepards and/or mixes of those breeds in particular but any kind of dog, big or small, will steal my heart instantly.
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood or local parks if your dog enjoys that. I also enjoy hiking and would love to take your dog with me if that is something they like and are used to. I love nature and being outside so I will take your dog on walks whenever possible as well as any other outdoor activities he/she enjoys. I also enjoy some couch cuddles and relaxing to unwind after a day full of activity!
