Pet care experience
"When they can't be with you"..you want the best care possible. Dogs have always been part of our home. Whistler is the 4th in line of Westies. He is friendly and enjoys the neighborhood dogs when we do our daily walks. On the mainland we owned a pet boarding facility in the Atlanta area and housed 96 dogs and 40 cats. Occasionally there were rabbits, birds, etc. All the dogs are welcome to come inside to enjoy the A/C. The outside wall/fence is 21 inches at the lowest point. I am home all day except for short trips to the store, etc. When I have to leave, the puppy is safely in a den with TV. There is lots of time for play and puppy love!

In the almost 4 years of having my dog "Piglet". I had never spent a night apart from her. After finding Kathryn on dogvacay.com. Having a meet and greet at her home. I have since gone on 2 much needed vacations. Both of which leaving Piglet with Kay. When bringing Piglet to Kay's house for the second time. Piglet could not wait to get out of the car and get in to her house. Kay also sent pictures and updates frequently. I can not thank her enough. Wendy & Piglet
Kay is such a very nice person! From our initial visit we knew she would be the person to care for our Maltese, "Yuto" for two weeks. The big plus was her sweet West Highland Terrier, "Whistler". Whistler was like a big brother to Yuto and helped in Yuto's social skills, AAAAA+. Another plus is Kay's experience in caring for dogs and her being at home most of the time we knew Yuto would be well supervised. Kay sent numerous pics and videos, always reassured us to have a nice time and not worry about Yuto. Well here we are back home with Yuto and he is much calmer due to the excellent care under Kay and Whistler. We will definitely use Kay's services again. Mahalo Kay, wishing you and Whistler the very best of life!
Kay is so flexible and such a sweetheart. She not only treated Stitch like her own family member but she treated us like her family. Kay gave us a tour of her house and where Stitch would have access to. She was also very attentive to our concerns about not having Stitch off leash when he was outside. Stitch is very picky with his food (yes, it's because I spoil him with human food). Kay mixed chicken broth in Stitch's food to entice him to eat and it worked! While traveling it is hard to have access to things you normally would at home. Being in a hotel makes it difficult to boil/grill chicken to mix in with my Stitch's food. It was a pleasure for Daniel & I to meet such a wonderful woman. It was a blessing for our marriage as well (one less thing to have to worry about). When we are back in Maui, we sure will come by to visit Kay. I am always happy to meet such nice people.
Following our initial emails, I visited Kay to see if leaving Milo with her would be a good fit and whether Milo and Whistler would be compatible. Kay welcomed me into her home and gave me a tour of the yard and the rooms in her home where Milo would hang out in. Speaking with her I learned of her background and experience with dogs and her comments about Milo assured me that she was knowledgable about handling dogs; I left the visit with a sense of peace. I dropped Milo off the next day feeling very comfortable and confident that he would be fine. While away Kay sent me numerous text messages and photos of Milo and Whistler and gave me updates of how he/they were doing. With Kay being home most of the day and Milo having basically the run of the house as he does at home, Kay offers the perfect setting I'm looking for while we are away. I would highly recommend Kay.
