Pet care experience
Since I was a little girl, I have always loved animals. I am the proud fur-mama to two rescue pups, a retired barn kitty, and a horse. After college at Florida State, I moved to Washington, D.C. to complete my master's degree at Georgetown University. As a full-time graduate student, dog walking & pet sitting started out as the perfect way to fill time between classes and studying. Before I knew it, my passion quickly became a full time job. During my six years as a pet care professional, I have worked with many different animals including: dogs, cats, horses, goats, birds, and reptiles. I have also worked with animals with a multitude of special needs, such as those requiring specialized medications, subcutaneous or intramuscular injections, and diabetic insulin injections. As well as pets with epilepsy, those recovering from surgery (spay, neuter, trauma, etc), or those with sensitive tummies who have a wide range of special diet preparations and requirements.

Kathryn has been our go-to cat sitting for our precious Cannoli. Kathryn has a dedicated room in her home for the cat to stay, with a window for squirrel watching. Cannoli has a heart condition that requires a pill twice a day. When we leave Cannoli at Kathryn’s, we know he is in good hands and will receive his medication without issue. She regularly sends photos of our little man when he’s staying with her and she has always been flexible if our travel plans change. We are so grateful we found a reliable and loving pet sitter for Cannoli!
Kathryn has been watching my French Bulldog, Pancake, since she was 5 months old. It is really important as a dog owner to feel your fur baby is taken care of when you are not there, and thanks to Kathryn, I never have to worry. Not only do I have peace of mind, but Pancake has the time of her life while at kamp! Kathryn communicates clearly and provides an environment that works for dogs of all sizes and personalities. She truly connects with and understands our dog—going above and beyond with making special accommodations at meal time and ensuring medication is properly administered. On top of all that, she loves Pancake and and cares for her as if she was her own. I cannot recommend Kathryn enough! Anyone would be lucky to have her care for their animal.
Kathryn provides the highest level of care to all her pups and cats. My pup LOVES seeing her and I alway feel comfortable leaving my pup in Kathryn’s care. She is attentive to everything from the last time my pup was out, to providing specialized medications or care when needed. As a bonus, she provides candid photos often and it’s so nice to see how many smiling pup faces their are in her photos. Kathryn truly is the best there is when it comes to pet sitting!
Kathryn (ie Auntie Kat) has been amazing. Fiji has been two dog kamp weekly for the last couple of years and absolutely LOVES it! Kat, since the first day, has taken care of my dog so well! Fiji comes back totally tuckered out, happy and cleaned (especially on those rainy days). Kat sends lots of updates, pictures, plays doggie adventures and keeps him nice and happy! We have used her to board Fiji and she was super mindful of his routine!! Kat is absolutely wonderful and so thankful to have her in ours and Fiji’s life! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We welcome all dog breeds, big or small! However, I will need to know if your pup is potty trained, does well with other dogs, has any medical issues, and loves kisses and pats which will be given out frequently.
A typical day
We visit the dog park frequently. However, for dogs who do not thrive in that environment (or for puppies that are too young and are not fully vaccinated) walks around the neighborhood, including the Mosaic District, are our favorite. We are also big fans of car rides to the local Starbucks for puppachinos!
