Pet care experience
I grew up in a home with many pets, and often attended dog shows with my mother who shows Old English Sheepdogs. I have some experience grooming and handling dogs in the show ring. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages as well as cats and a variety of smaller pets, and haven’t met an animal that I don’t absolutely adore! I have experience administering medications for dogs and cats, some experience training dogs, and I will do everything I can to ensure your pet’s needs are met!

Katie generally goes above and beyond for house sitting, going as far as cleaning the kitchen countertops, stripping the bed when she leaves, and making sure the pets get the extra TLC that they deserve, like brushing and care when giving medications. I'd highly recommend her!
Kathryn did a wonderful job. I will definitely use her service in the future. It was such a relief to go away and know everything was in capable hands and not worry. Our pets are elderly with health issues, and not easy. Kathryn did a excellent job with them and the house and yard. Would highly recommend Kathryn!

I will not be providing services in my home currently, as my mom’s pets are easily stressed by other dogs or cats. In a client’s home, I think the most important aspect of pet care is effective communication and awareness of a particular pets’ needs and habits.

I would like to be aware of any issues with aggression towards people or other dogs/pets, as well as your pet’s typical routine and habits.
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks as well as play fetch, tug, or any similar activity. I am available for grooming as well. I think that providing affection is an important way to reassure dogs that may be missing their people. For drop in visits with cats, I am enthusiastic about providing them with enrichment through toys and affection.

Availability
I have recently moved back home to Connecticut to help care for my mother while she recovers from a broken ankle/leg. Aside from driving her to appointments, I care for her two dogs and two cats. When I am not actively bringing her to an appointment, my schedule is very flexible.
