Kathryn Fisher has grown up in a dog loving household. She has had a dog at home every year of her life, most years 2 at a time. Kathryn has shown responsibility in care for dogs on many levels as she has grown up. A few years back our family had a pair of litter mates- Golden Rertriever / Lab mixes. When they were about 8 my wife had taken them for a walk, nothing unusual, a 2 mile walk down our country road. A short while after they returned, it was Kathryn who noticed that our Samantha was having trouble breathing. Being late evening on a weeknight she helped my wife get Samantha to an emergency vet center, where "Sammy" was diagnosed with what would be a life ending hemangioma around her heart. They were able to drain 700 cc of blood from her chest and give us a few more weeks with Samantha. But without Kathryn's keen eye, we certainly would have lost Samantha that night. Kathryn continues to be our pet sitter of choice for our 80 lb Lab/ Great Pyrenees mix 'puppy', now that she is grown up and moved out. She also pet sits fro other who take extended time away from their dogs. She has shown a high level of responsibility in caring for dogs as members of family, is quite responsible and has great integrity.
