Patient & attentive dog lover!

Pet care experience

I’ve always loved dogs. As a kid I begged for a dog, until we finally adopted a retired racing greyhound! Throughout my teens I also often dog sat for my neighbour (pug and shih tzu). I have also never passed up an opportunity to meet a new dog 😅 In 2020, I finally got a dog of my own! Lucky is an older rescue from Texas who I feel lucky to have in my life. He’s a happy, lower energy guy but is definitely a higher attention needing pup! I love getting to see a dogs personality and adapt to make sure they have a safe and enjoyable time in my care. All of my experience, plus my genuine love for all dogs makes me an excellent candidate for Rover!

Kathryn was awesome with Casper and sent me photo updates throughout the day, which I really appreciated! Thanks so much for watching my boy!

We are out of town tourists and just needed a sitter for the day while we explored Granville Island. Kathryn did a wonderful job with Sam while we were away. She sent a photo of him hanging out on the couch (one of his favorite things to do) and took him for walks (his other favorite thing to do). Katheryn was friendly and receptive to any requests. We would definitely recommend her as a sitter.

Information Kathryn B. would like to know about your pet

Every dog is different so it's important to know the quirks of any dog I take care of. I think the most important question is how are they around other dogs and people? Are they very social or shy? Do they have any odd fears, like skateboards or large bearded men? Knowing a bit about a dog's personality ensures that I can make them feel happy and comfortable with me wherever we are!

A typical day

There are various dog parks downtown I can take them to, and there’s lots of nice places for long or short walks (like of course Stanley park!). I can also play catch or frisbee as long as the dog would like!
