I've grown up around animals big and small, be it rodents, reptiles, birds, cats, dogs, or fish. I have about a year or more of volunteer experience at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Texas and a local farm sanctuary here in Bellingham, and am currently employed at NEKO cat cafe, where I am constantly around cats and help care for them (administer medications, break up fights, and watch for any abnormal behaviors or health signs). I also worked a summer with horses at a family camp. It comes naturally to me to connect deeply with animals and communicate with them without words. If I could do one thing for the rest of my life, I would choose to care for animals. Animals are special souls and it's an honor to get to care for and know each one. I’ve watched a lot of homes and animals for friends, so I figure, ‘Why not get paid to do something I already enjoy?’
