Pet care experience
Hi! We are both animal lovers, particularly dogs! I have had pets throughout my life. In my childhood, I had two mutts, a poodle and cats. In my adulthood, I've always had a dog... a German Shepherd-Rottweiler mix, a Golden Retriever and a presently a Pug. A home just isn't quite the same without a pup hanging around :) My children and I have cared for rats, mice, a hamster, fishes and a bunny that we currently still have. I've taken my German Shepherd-Rottweiler mix to training and she won first place! A very exciting moment! Also, I've taken my pug through training and through those classes I've learned quite a lot about dogs and their different behaviors. Also, I've learned other things about animals by reading and watching the Dog Whisperer :) My wonderful boyfriend, Geoff, has grown up with dogs and cats. As a child, he had a Poodle and a black Labrador. He has a strong passion for all animals and whose an advocate for rescuing dogs and any pet in need. He spends time volunteering at the Camarillo Animal Shelter and partakes in the Dog enrichment program. He has walked and has a passion for all breeds from a Highland Terrier, German Shepherd to Great Danes. Together, we are an awesome team in caring for your pet while you are away. Kathryn & Geoff were terrific with my 4 legged kids. I think they actually got treated better than when they're home! I was so very comfortable leaving the pooches as it was obvious how caring and loving both Kathryn & Geoff are. While I knew that my babies were happy to see me I could also tell that they'd had a good time at Kathryn & Geoff's and they were so very much at home there. I will have no hesitation to rebook when I need to go out of town again! Thank you both!!!
Sunshine had a super first visit! Sadie always loves her time visiting with Kathryn and Geoff, but I recently rescued a senior pup, and he has been very nervous that he will be abandoned again. Kathryn and Geoff took the time to acclimate him to their house and yard, and they made sure that he had plenty of love, and felt safe and secure while he was away from me. I am very grateful that they go the extra mile to insure that both dogs have fun and feel safe whenever I am out of town, or just away for the day. Thanks so much!

Our backyard is fenced in so little adventures cannot escape and can explore only the backyard. We are mainly inside the house though unless it's potty time or some backyard exercise, or playing ball. We have few gates to block off the front door so no escaping if the door opens. For bed time, we keep the pets with us in our bedroom.

We like to know if there are any medical conditions or taking any medications. Any specific feeding schedule, especially if free fed. Also, the temperament of the dog, especially if they get along with other dogs. If they are potty trained or any other special requirements and sleeping arrangements. Last, if they are crate trained.
A typical day
Our walks will be around our neighborhood. Different paths depending on short walks or longer walks. Also, we can play fetch or just have them run around the backyard. Unfortunately, we have dirt instead of grass, but the dogs don't mind :)

Availability
I end work in the early afternoon which give me time to care for other furry pets for dog boarding or walking. Geoff is currently working part-time at home so it also works for his schedule to take care of your pets. We work as a team!
