Better Than a Walk!

Pet care experience

Hi! I was raised to treat animals with kindness, compassion, and respect, and I have sought to learn more about dog behavior and learning over the last several years, which led to me becoming a Catch and Karen Pryor Certified Positive Reinforcement Trainer. Not only can I take your dog on fun, stimulating walks and see to her needs while you're away, but we can also discuss any behaviors or skills you would like to cultivate and add those in to our sessions. I am not squeamish about pet messes, so if you have an elderly dog or puppy who has unreliable potty habits, I am happy to take care of anything that comes up. I look forward to meeting you and your unique pups!

Kat is fantastic. She and Bacon were instantly bonded and he loves when she comes to take him on walks. She is experienced with positive dog training and was able to reinforce my training with Bacon. She has been flexible with my hectic schedule and accommodating for Bacons special needs as a rescue as well as last minute schedule changes. I cannot say enough good things about Kat and wish that she was moving with Bacon and I to Gunnison.

We were in Colorado for vacation and had an event that our dog was not allowed to attend. After talking with her, I felt so comfortable leaving our dog with Kathrine for the day. When she picked up our dog she had treats ready and took care to make him feel comfortable going with her. Kathrine took him for a great hike and sent pictures of him enjoying the day. She was super flexible with our timing and pickup/drop off. I was so happy and relieved to find such a wonderful dog sitter and will definitely use Kathrine again when we are back out in CO on vacation with our dog!!

Kat was great! She was able to take my dog Finnley on very short notice for 3 days & 2 nights. She kept Finnley busy each day with lots of walks with other dogs, and didn't seem to mind having to carry him when he got cold (common hazard for my little dog in the winter!). At home, Kat made sure Finnley was cozy and getting along with her dogs. Kat was in regular contact with texts and photos, which was terrific. Overall, I highly recommend Kat!
