Hi, my name is Kathleen! I am a professional pet caregiver with ten years of experience. I provide dog walks, short-term boarding, short-term overnight pet care in your home and short-term farm sitting. I also provide basic dog training using positive reinforcement methods. I am passionately devoted to animals and research animal behavior and psychology. I have had encounters with animals that have been life-changing and eye-opening, from swimming with endangered wild dolphins in New Zealand to playing with domesticated Asian elephants in Thailand. I've always been fascinated by non-human creatures, from bacteria to salamanders to horses and beyond. Between New Jersey and Philadelphia I have personally rescued and fostered somewhere around 30 homeless cats. I am mom to two rescue kitties and I am now a mom to Maddie the rescue Border Collie/Corgi. To me, animals represent love, connection, play and trust. They have a a lot to teach us. I think I was always meant to work with animals and I hope to someday have a small homestead filled with creatures of all kinds. I can provide fantastic references. I've devoted the last 15 years to nannying for children and I am very honored and excited to bring those lessons to caring for a different, furrier kind of children! When I'm not snuggling animals I enjoy hiking the Appalachian Trail, crafting art pieces from foraged materials, photographing wild mushrooms, learning the names of medicinal herbs, and modern dance.
