Having pets my whole life has made me who I am today. I always had dogs growing up, switched to cats in college, and now have both with my family. We love our pets like they are family members. I dog sit for my friends and neighbors for extended periods, both small and large breeds. I work from my home and am a homeschooling mom. My family is home quite a bit. If I am not home personally, my husband is usually here. We are quite flexible and willing to accommodate all kinds of situations and schedules. We have a large, fenced in dog run, large dog crates, a nearby park, and can provide daily walks and play time. My dog was trained by me personally, and while he is the first dog I have ever trained, he is quite well behaved and trained to commands. He walks in heel, goes to place and crate by command, and in general takes his cues from us. Knowing that every dog doesn't necessarily click with another, we have crates and gates to separate any dogs that need their space. My daughters also love dogs and animals and will be giving your pet love and attention while they are with us (as safety allows). They have been showing dogs at AKC events for the last year and take their dogs to classes at the Dog Training Club of St. Pete regularly. All children will be supervised at all times when with your pet. If you are looking for a family environment for your dog, we would love to provide that for you.
