I grew up with labs and retrievers but now live alone with my 2 cats (who are pretty much used to dogs, but still wary of them). I watch peoples dogs and foster with Saving Grace when I can so have experience with a wide range of dogs.

Kathleen became unresponsive the second I was available to pick up my dog at our agreed upon time. She would not answer calls or texts from me or Rover for hours. In previous messages it is clear she was plotting to keep my dog overnight again to charge more. Even when she finally answered (only after her father called her and talked sense into her) she tried to keep my dog overnight again. When I picked my dog up she was laughing and joking as if I was not worried sick for over 2 hours. Hours after my dog was back with me she tried to say my dog ripped her carpet up, which was ripped before my dog arrived and there is photo evidence of that in the background of a picture she sent me in the beginning of my dogs stay. She is scamming dog owners and does not deserve to be on this site.

I have a large dog crate if that is better for sitting/boarding but only if that is part of their normal routine. Pets are allowed on the furniture (also if normal) and since I have pets already, I have extra water around the apartment. Since I’m used to hosting dogs, I’m good at “cat proofing” the apartment and my unit has a good layout to separate the cats and the visiting pet if needed. I choose how to take out any dog based on their personality: dog walk in my apartment building, walks, local dog park, hikes, etc.

Bathroom and sleeping habits as well as how much “dog proofing” is necessary (ie, if they counter surf or chew shoes). Also friendliness with other dogs.
A typical day
I tailor what I do to what is best for the dog, either playing inside, going on a walk, going to the dog park, etc. When on walks, I typically stay in downtown but I am also happy to go on a more nature hike.

Availability
I am an engineer and work remote so will have plenty of time to take care of your pets! One favorite thing to do with a dog I watch is taking them to my weekly kickball games.
