I have watched other people's animals since I was a child, and have always had my own cats or dogs. Currently, I have a 65 pound lab mix that I got from the Wake County pound. She has been in our family going on 9 years. I love the bond I form with her on our walks and during playtime. I am a graduate of Dog Obedience 101 through the Town of Cary, and know all the commands most dogs know. Animals with special needs have a special place in my heart. I have experience and am comfortable administering oral, topical and injectable medications and will take care to tailor our walks and play sessions to their needs and abilities. I look forward to taking your dog on excursions and making friends with your fur baby.

It’s such a great feeling to be able to leave town and know your dogs are in great hands! Kathleen is so good with our dogs , they love a visit from her. She is also great about sending pics and updates on while we are out. I highly recommend her!

High energy dogs are wonderful and do not intimidate me at all. However, I don't have the skills to handle aggression. If your dog has a history of snapping or biting, I am probably not the sitter you need. I would like to talk to you about your dog's personality, likes and dislikes before I make my first visit.
A typical day
My favorite walk with my dog is Bond Park -- with all the trails, squirrels and ducks my dog is on playtime overload by the time we're done. I can play fetch nonstop (I have a lab mix. You throw it, they get it) and love to play chasing games. High energy dogs bring out the little kid in me! At the same time, older dogs who just want belly rubs and and warm lap to sit on make me smile. I will learn what your dog wants and needs.
