I had a rescue dog for 5 years and had to work to get him accustomed to my home. He recently passed from lymphoma so I was used to his medication regimen near the end of his life. I volunteered at a dog/cat shelter for 2 years, where duties include: walking dogs, potty breaks, cleaning up after them, cleaning bowls, etc. I have also dogsat for different clients/friends for the past 7 years. I recently adopted a large dog. I am used to small dogs and large dogs, shedders and non-shedders. I believe in positive reinforcement training for dogs. Sometimes, due to personal experiences, I have a sibling stay over with me on overnight visits for safety purposes. I currently foster dogs with a rescue as well. I am currently looking for a job in healthcare so I may need to dogsit dogs that can hold it in a crate for 8 hours at a time.
