I would provide fun baths, lots of walks, hugs, kisses and great petting and massage. I would play everything that the dog wanted to play Its about their needs and desires not mine They will let me know what they need and want to do. Or I may suggest some fun things when they look bored. Make them feel loved and secure while they waited for their loved one to return. Allow for each dog to be who they are and love them for their uniqueness. If they are special needs, I would work with their need and see if I could add to assisting in additional ways with that need. Just to give love, security and compassion as I would want. Individualized personal care.
